What I collect, and why.

Plain language, no tricks. This page explains what The Jarred Effect collects when you use this site, what it’s used for, and how to change your mind.

Last updated: [date you publish this]

What I collect

  • When you ask for the guide: your email address and, if you choose to give it, your first name.
  • Basic technical data: like every website, the host (Vercel) processes standard request details such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you load, to deliver the site and keep it secure.
  • No tracking cookies: this site doesn’t set advertising or analytics cookies. If that ever changes, this page will say so first.

How it’s used

  • To send you the guide you asked for.
  • If you stay subscribed, to send you occasional emails from me. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe link.
  • Never sold, never rented, and never shared for anyone else’s marketing.

Who helps run things

A few services do the heavy lifting. Each only gets what it needs for its job:

  • Resend stores your email address (and first name, if given) and sends the emails.
  • Vercel hosts the website.
  • Google Fonts delivers the site’s typefaces, so your browser requests them from Google’s servers.

How long it’s kept

Your email address and name stay on file until you unsubscribe or ask me to delete them.

Your choices

  • Unsubscribe anytime with the link at the bottom of any email.
  • See or delete your data: email [your contact email] and I’ll tell you what’s stored or remove it.
  • Depending on where you live (for example under the GDPR in the EU and UK, or the CCPA in California) you may have more rights. The same email address works for those requests.

Children

This site isn’t meant for children under 13 (or under 16 in the EU), and it doesn’t knowingly collect their information.

Changes and contact
